Good dim sum and good service. Good amount of seating. Probably one of my go to for dim sum when in Boston.

Hei La Moon is my favorite place to eat dim sum in Boston's Chinatown. It's not the most affordable, but it's fairly comparable to the other dim sum places in the area and (in my opinion) the yummiest! They have the authentic bamboo steamers, the carts, and the dim sum staples (delicious har gow, shumai, pork buns, tripe/omasum, spareribs, chicken feet, sharkfin dumplings). Besides that, though, if you're looking for something heartier, their main entrees (beef chow fun, fried rice, etc) are generously portioned and delicious. Eric's rating: 4* "Food is delicious, but it is a little pricey. And they get mad if you order incorrectly."

Hei La Moon relocated to the old Chau Chow City location. It is much smaller than the old HLM space but it still works because they don't have the carts anymore. The roasted pork flaky pastry (char siu so) didn't have any taste and it was one of the things I really wanted to try. However, the rest were mostly decent to good. My favorite and surprisingly they still have it was the black sesame mochi balls in sweet ginger soup. The staff members were great. They always put on a smile and eagerly helped to box up leftovers.

Food measures up! My second visit and I would recommend in a heartbeat. Service is fast and courteous. Only thing I would want is chart service!! I might have gotten there after chart service so that could explain it. The ambiance is welcoming and feels like a Chinese Dim Sum place!
